About the Practice
Nightingale Practice was established in the 1960s.
With strong links to our local community, offering patient centred care in a timely way is at the core of how we work. We treat our patients with kindness and we see building relationships as key to good care. That's why we pride ourselves on being able to offer GP appointments within 24 hours of an appointment request with processes in place to allow you to see the same person for continuity of care.
93% of patients rated Nightingale Practice as Good or Very Good in the NHS England's GP Patient Survey (2023) - the highest score in City and Hackney!
(Compared with the local average of 64% and the national average of 71%).
Our Team
A lot of our team are local to Hackney and many of us have worked at the practice for 20 years or more. We have a solid understanding of our patient population. We are very familiar with the issues that come up, and are aware of the best local services available for you and your family.
Wide Skill Mix
We are very fortunate to have an expanding multidisciplinary team, including Advanced Nurse Practioners, Physician Associates, physiotherapists, clinical pharmacists, health and well-being coaches and many more. These members of our team have skills and training which is more specialised, and therefore better for our patients.
Innovation
We are proud of being innovative and forward thinking, and ever improving our services. We are also strong advocates of ensuring we deliver the same level of access and care to all, and whilst we offer digital means to our services which are quick and efficient, we have just as timely access through the more traditional means.
Training and Support
And finally, we have a strong culture of learning embedded into our everyday practice. We have a strong ethos of development of our staff, we train up junior doctors to become GPs, as well as supervision and training for our pharmacists, advanced nurse practioners, physician associates, nurses and all other members of our team. We like to meet every day as a team for clinical discussions and ongoing learning.
What Our Patients Say…
"I feel so lucky to be registered at this practice. They contact you on the same day and offer an appointment where needed. Most recently, I went online at 9am to request an appointment, was called by the GP by 10am and had an 11.15am appointment"
Ailin
"I had a smear test done and the nurse was a lovely, prepared person. She was very caring and professional. I didn't feel any discomfort during the visit. She made feel at ease and safe"
