Tests and Results
How and when to obtain test results from the surgery
Getting your test results
Waiting for test results?
For results of tests that were arranged by the practice
If you have had tests arranged by someone at Nightingale Practice and have not been recalled, this usually means your test results are normal and don’t need further action. However, you can check your results in the following ways:
NHS App - the easiest / quickest way to see your results:
Once the GP has reviewed your test results, you can view them via the NHS App. You can also get copies of your test results this way, and have a closer look at each of the individual results.
If you are not registered with the NHS App, register for an account here
By phone - if you are unable to register with the NHS App.
If you are unable to use online services, you can call the practice after 10:30am, but our reception team will only be able to tell you if they are normal or not, rather than give you a break down of your individual results.
For results of tests that were arranged by the hospital
If a hospital team requested a test, the result will not come back to the practice until they are communicated to you by the hospital team.
If you are chasing these results, please contact the relevant hospital department directly.
Questions about your results
If you have any questions about your results, please book an appointment with the clinician who requested them.
