NHS population screening: information leaflet for transgender and non-binary people:

NHS Screening Programmes

 There is a new PHE patient information leaflet ‘for trans people NHS Screening Programmes’.   This leaflet should be made available to trans and non-binary people to inform them about the:-

  • cervical screening
  • breast screening
  • abdominal aortic aneurysm screening
  • bowel screening

You can download and print off hard copies as required. You can print this document in booklet form if your computer has that option.

If you have an urgent medical problem that won't wait until the practice re-opens please call 111

If you lose this number it is always available on our answer phone message when the surgery is closed.

You will be asked about your problem and a call handler will direct you to the most relevant healthcare professional.

There is lots of useful information regarding health problems at NHS Choices 

Please only use accident and emergency departments if it is a genuine emergency.

Don’t just go to hospital

• Plan ahead - stock up on plasters, paracetamol, aspirin and indigestion remedies

Your local pharmacy can give advice and treatments for lots of minor ailments such as

Diarrhoea, painful cough, headache, other minor ailments, emergency contraceptives

• Plan ahead - ask your local pharmacy about their opening times, or find out online at
